
Kwararafa TV, a new television station, has commenced operations in Wukari, Taraba State.
The station, according to its management, would bring unparalleled entertainment, news, and educational content to the people of Taraba State and beyond.
It said the TV station would reach out to the unreached with fact-based reporting.
The Kwararafa TV’s mission and vision, the management said, “is reaching out to the unreached with fact-based reporting, for the people and the liberation of humanity.”
The station would broadcast free-to-air, making it accessible to everyone on frequency 12589, the management said.
The station’s General Manager, Zevini Sabo Lengeya, a seasoned media professional with a proven track record brings decades of experience to the operations of the media organ.
Lengeya previously served as General Manager of NTA Taraba Station, bringing invaluable expertise to his new role.
Kwararafa TV aims to promote local culture, showcase Taraba State’s rich heritage, and provide a platform for local talent.
The station will feature a diverse range of programming, including news, dramas, documentaries, and educational shows.
The launch of Kwararafa TV is expected to have a significant impact on the local community, providing job opportunities, promoting cultural exchange, and enhancing access to information.
The founder, High Chief Ezekiel Irmiya Afukonyo a seasoned politician and a businessman said he conceived the idea to develop human capacity and enrichment of community with information.
