Why NDDC leadership should be commended – APC Chieftain

The South-South Zonal Organizing Secretary of APC in Cross Rivers state, Mr Paul Obi said upon evaluating the performance of the Niger Delta Development Commission, it is obvious that the current team has surpassed public expectation especially in terms of projects execution stating that Cross River state can now boast of massive road intervention projects delivered by the NDDC.

According to the chieftain, who made the commendation during an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Abuja, “what the current NDDC Board has achieved in less than a year since its constitution is enormous.”

While he thanked the leadership of NDDC for the “great job they have done on the Obudu – Ikom road,” he said: “I came to Ikom on that route yesterday and what I saw makes me proud.”

He said that “what the PDP-led NDDC could not do for 16 years has been achieved in less than five months by the current administration. When I marveled at it, my brother reminded me that if I proceed towards Obubra I will be more proud. The APC led NDDC has shown that it is committed to infrastructural development of the Niger Delta region.”

As a Party Leader in the Zone, this makes me very happy and proud of the Board and Management of NDDC.”

Obi said: “While I was sharing the news of the progress with a friend, he told me that the NURTW plying that road are planning to celebrate the achievement and will, in their numbers support the continuity of APC at the federal level and the pending take-over in Cross River come 2019.

The APC stalwart called on party members to work in unity to give the state a face lift.

“I want to use this medium to call on members of APC to close ranks in order to deliver Cross River state to the APC in 2019,” he added.
