The Nigerian Institution of Facilities Engineering and Management (NIFEngM) is to hold its October monthly lecture series on the design of septic tanks and soak-away pits.
The lecture, scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, will be delivered virtually by Engr. Ignatius Ikechukwu Nweke, a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FNIMechE).
According to an announcement issued by the institution’s National Publicity Secretary, Engr. Ibraheem A. Olalekan, the lecture will begin at 8:30 p.m. via Google Meet.
The session is expected to focus on the design of septic tanks and soak-away pits, which are important components of wastewater management and sanitation systems in buildings.
The institution also announced that certificates of attendance would be available to participants at different rates.
Members whose financial subscriptions are up to date will pay ₦500, while members who are not financially up to date will pay ₦1,000. Non-members will pay ₦1,500.
